Regulations

  • The acquisitions department provides a service aimed at the scientific personnel of the CCHS, but suggestions made by external users will be also received.

  • The library will be able to acquire any bibliographic material which may be necessary for the development of scientific activity at the centre without any thematic, typological or format restrictions.

  • The scientific personnel of CCHS may submit their selection of works to the library through any of the following means:

    • Through e-mail, addressed to the acquisitions department: cchs_adquisiciones.tnt@cchs.csic.es

    • By clicking on the online catalogues located on the right hand menu

    • By selecting the work in the printed catalogues and sending the details to the library acquisitions department

    • Through the selection of books for appraisal that are offered by specialised publishers and distributors, and which the library processes

  • The library will carry out the necessary technical processes to facilitate the reception of works, their incorporation into the CSIC collective catalogue and the assignment of their call numbers in the shortest time possible.

  • The acquisition of works for the library collection may be charged to the library budget, but the collection may also be enlarged with acquisitions charged to research projects.

  • The library may accept donations from individuals or institutions who offer their publications free of charge, providing that they conform to the current regulations of CSIC.
